Camping at Shaver Lake

While I was still in CA with Maria and Jordan, we went camping at a place called Shaver Lake it was a nice little getaway spot that was really pretty and nice. On the way there, I was in the backseat, helping McKay be entertained with all of his books. When we got there, we had eventually gotten to the point of stacking them. He got quite a kick out of it. Naturally, we couldn't help taking a picture.
We went on a hike one day and Maria was taking pictures with her camera and I thought this one turned out cool. It wasn't even photo shopped!

McKay had a hard time eating all of his dinner one day, so in order to distract him we were taking pictures of him and then showing him. This one turned out really cute.
Maybe it has something to do with living in Arizona, but I have never seen pine cones this big. They were HUGE! It was CrAzY!

Even though it was cool to see them just regularly, it was even cooler to watch them burn. They would make this really big flame and then as they would keep burning they would glow a bright orange. It was SOOO cool. This picture really doesn't do it much justice.
Since we were there during the 4th of July, we had to set up to watch the fireworks. We had to walk a long ways to get there and even then we had to wait at least 1/2 to an hour before it started. Luckily this man told us about this spot and we had a GREAT view of the lake AND the fireworks. Too bad the fireworks were kind of lame. :(
What a CUTE family!!
You Kind of have to look but there IS a squirrel or chipmunk in this picture. (I can't really tell the difference). They were EVERYWHERE!! Almost everywhere you turned there was another one!

I don't have a picture, but when we were camping, the first day was nice and quiet, but the second day there were these mexicans there that were listening to about 4 songs over and over really loud. It was during McKay's nap time too:( After a while of enduring, Jordan went over and asked them to keep it down. Their 4 year old had to translate for them, but they did quiet down.

I'm Kind of going out of order, but this is of the day that we were at the lake. McKay's blowing kisses to mommy. :)
This is a picture of the lake that we got from a different view. Isn't it B-E-A-UTIFUL! What a fun camping trip!
