Cory's Farewell

Well last weekend we went to Cory's Farewell in California. He did a really good job on it too. We left at 3:30 (Mom and I) and took off to pick up Chris and Melinda and Devin's house. We got there at around 1:00 (Aunt Mary's house). On Saturday we played in the swimming pool in Aunt Mary's backyard then Maria, Chris, Mom and I left for a while to go see the Novaks. They are a family that Chris was really close to while in his mission.

They're really a nice family. :)

Later that night McKay was playing with Ariah, who is Katherine's little girl. While the rest of us watched...and talked of course. :)

McKay had a blast playing on the drum set. The sound wasn't working at first and so he was wearing headphones to listen to it....
They were just a little big... :)

Later on that night, Chris wanted us to go and visit Julio and his family. We talked for a little while. Even though they only spoke spanish, mom and I could both tell what a great family they were and why Chris really wanted us to go.

Now, for Sunday, Chris Mom and I had to leave right after the Sacrament meeting. :( But not before taking pictures! Hehe. :) They actually turned out pretty good...
All of the people that came to hear Cory and Aunt Mary speak. (above)

Katherine and Ariah
McKay had been walking along here for a while and so we took some pictures. Don't you just LOVE his stance? :)

Ariana

Yeah, this post is late too, but for Ariana's birthday (August 9) I gave Ariana her birthday present and she really likes Spiderman, so I wanted to get her a Spiderman poster. We both LOVE it but Batman is more my thing. :) I was going to get a different one that i liked better, but my dad didn't like the shipping costs :( It was really cool too. But that's ok cause this one's cool too. :) To see a picture of her at this this post you can click it and read about her. :)

SO COOL! If only it were Batman...sigh :)

The McCleve Reunion

In case some of you can't tell, I am not a very good person to put in charge of a blog. I never upload anything. That is why everything that I have posted in the last little while has been like a month or two late. So here is about the McCleve Reunion that was in July. I know that it would take me another month if I tried to put up lots of pictures, so you have to just deal with 3 this time. Sorry. We had the reunion at Owen's Pond in Show Low for about 3 days. It was lots of fun we were able to play in water, the horses raided our place, and there were always some activities that you could do. Anyway, here are some pictures of our family both with Devin and Melinda's family as well as ours.

And the day before Melinda and Devin came, we had a picture with just us.

I have to say that the best prank that has ever been pulled on either me or anybody else goes to my brother David. I was eating breakfast with Sarah and when i went back to get something from my tent (my cute little 2 man tent) it wasn't there. Looking for my tent i look out on the lake and this is what i saw...

Before David had been teasing me that he was going to put it on a little platform in the middle of the lake, i didn't think that he was serious though! I have to admit that it was the coolest prank anyone could pull, but it still made me mad to see my TENT in the lake! All of my stuff was still in it and everything! Brothers...they're just CrAzY!

The Rest

Monday, July 6th was the last day of the 4th of July sales at the Outlets in Gilroy so we spent the day there shopping. I must say, I love shopping in big cities, until I can't find my size in jeans or the right size shirt. >:( Very annoying. Strange though...normally I don't have a problem in Arizona. There were lots of really good sales though so that was good. We had lunch at In-N-Out It was SOO good! I've never eaten there before either. Very tastey! :)

Tuesday we walked to the park and McKay finnally got to have a nap. I basically just downloaded music on my mp3.

Wednesday
was the hottest day of the week (around 80 degrees) so we decided to go to the beach after McKay woke up from his nap. I LOVE going to the beach! It was a beautiful evening and we all had a great time. Maria was in such a good mood when she found out that she didn't have to pay for parking :) It was great! a free day at the beach :)

Yes it was my first time being in the ocean. :) I LOVED it!

I almost got taken out a few times when the waves were coming at me. It was still fun nonetheless though. Its really relaxing to have waves crash against you.
Sunsets at the Beach are SOO B-E-A-UTIFUL!
Santana Row! Wow i felt SO underdressed! It was pretty there and pricy. Very impressive place though. Even though I've never been to Europe, it reminds me of it.
I like fountain pictures :)
I thought it was so cool the way the shrubs were around this chess place. So COOL!
The big chess pieces! Aren't they so cool?!?
Stanford University
I have to say, it is Beautiful there! the grass is green and luscious the architecture is beautiful, the style is pretty....it's just a beautiful place!

Just a note-these pictures are kind of random but i like them for one reason or another :)

I just LOVE this picture!! It's so Beautiful! We had a lot of good ones but I just REALLY like this one.
I really don't know why my leg is in that wierd position like that...I think I was doing a pose before that and just didn't move or something.
You can't leave without a fun pose. That's just how it works. So here is our pose. :)
These corridors go on forever!! Not even joking!! I mean, can you see the end?!? cRaZy!!
I like this picture, it's not anything in particular, but it's still cool to me. I don't even know why it is.
Stanford was a beautiful Campus! I hope that someday I will be able to go back and enjoy it.

Camping at Shaver Lake

While I was still in CA with Maria and Jordan, we went camping at a place called Shaver Lake it was a nice little getaway spot that was really pretty and nice. On the way there, I was in the backseat, helping McKay be entertained with all of his books. When we got there, we had eventually gotten to the point of stacking them. He got quite a kick out of it. Naturally, we couldn't help taking a picture.
We went on a hike one day and Maria was taking pictures with her camera and I thought this one turned out cool. It wasn't even photo shopped!

McKay had a hard time eating all of his dinner one day, so in order to distract him we were taking pictures of him and then showing him. This one turned out really cute.
Maybe it has something to do with living in Arizona, but I have never seen pine cones this big. They were HUGE! It was CrAzY!

Even though it was cool to see them just regularly, it was even cooler to watch them burn. They would make this really big flame and then as they would keep burning they would glow a bright orange. It was SOOO cool. This picture really doesn't do it much justice.
Since we were there during the 4th of July, we had to set up to watch the fireworks. We had to walk a long ways to get there and even then we had to wait at least 1/2 to an hour before it started. Luckily this man told us about this spot and we had a GREAT view of the lake AND the fireworks. Too bad the fireworks were kind of lame. :(
What a CUTE family!!
You Kind of have to look but there IS a squirrel or chipmunk in this picture. (I can't really tell the difference). They were EVERYWHERE!! Almost everywhere you turned there was another one!

I don't have a picture, but when we were camping, the first day was nice and quiet, but the second day there were these mexicans there that were listening to about 4 songs over and over really loud. It was during McKay's nap time too:( After a while of enduring, Jordan went over and asked them to keep it down. Their 4 year old had to translate for them, but they did quiet down.

I'm Kind of going out of order, but this is of the day that we were at the lake. McKay's blowing kisses to mommy. :)
This is a picture of the lake that we got from a different view. Isn't it B-E-A-UTIFUL! What a fun camping trip!

Discovery Kingdom

So, when I was with Maria in CA. We went to Discovery Kingdom. It was LOTS of fun. Sorry it took so long to get up here, but my blog wasn't loading up pictures for me for a while. First we went to a lot of the must-see things that Maria was telling me about. First there was....
Tava the Elephant Show

Then there was Shouka the Killer Whale

And this wasn't a must-see but it was new and so we wanted to see it, but it's Ordin's Temple of the Tiger...
It's not like we just saw shows, I did go on some rides in between shows and some while McKay were going on some kid's rides. Maria told me that while they were waiting for me, McKay was looking at the ride I was going to go on and was saying 'ooooh!' while pointing fingers at the ride.

It's JOKER!!!! I Went into this Superman & Batman Store and I just had to have these pictures I also bought a Batman shirt and a Batman Bracelet. And Guess where it was...the boy In case any of you don't know, I am a BIG Batman fan. I LOVE the movie and pretty much everything...I'm just not obsessed. Which is why I LOVE this picture and would actually pose for it...
It was funny the way that I ended up posing. It wasn't even my idea, but I didn't know how to pose and these two girls told me to kiss him on the cheek. Naturally, I did. I mean how many People can say that they have kissed BATMAN?!? It's like a once in a lifetime opportunity! ;)
And I couldn't resist poseing as superman....

This is one of the rides that I went on with McKay. I was surprised how it was actually pretty fun. I mean it wasn't a roller coaster, but I didn't mind going on it with him. I mean it like actually moved around a little bit. And when you hear him laughing, it's hard not to like it.
This one wasn't as fun, but it was still fun because he liked it. He LOVED driving on it all the way around on the 'Safari Drive'.
It's sort of 'my thing to take pictures in front of a fountain, so I chose the Dolphin fountain. Just thought I'd throw it in.

Naturally, you have to have a picture with one of the characters in Discovery Kingdom. The whole trip was LOADS of fun THANKS for taking me Maria!

San Francisco

For those of you that don't know, I went to Maria's house in San Jose CA from June 26-July 11. Just me. :) On Saturday (June 27) we went to San Francisco...yes it was my first time, and i LOVED it. It was SO much fun. We went to china town first. This is me in front of the entrance.

Maria and I in front of the entrance.

After we went down Chinatown we went to little Italy. Just so you know...Calzones has the best pizza crusts that I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it. After that we were walked over to Ghiardelli. If you haven't had their chocolate before, you need to. It tastes SO good. the carmel was my favorite. It was amazing.
I am now a definite fan. :)

We were walking down the street and I decided that I wanted my charicature done. Maria was taking pictures while I was being drawn.
We didn't really take out the camera during it, but we saw a breakdance competition. It was SO cool! I'd never seen one before and it was AWESOME! This picture is the finale when he is flipping over two volunteer's arms. WAY cool.
Alcatraz Island
My first crepe! It was SO good. I had a nutella with bananas, strawberries, pwd sugar and whipped cream. WOW! It was SO good.
This is a monk siting, recognize it?
You can't go to San Francisco and not go to the golden gate bridge. It was beautiful there, the fog makes it look even better...in my opinion.
This is how thick the cables are on the Golden Gate bridge. I know it seems tipical that they would have to be so big, but woah! it's HUGE!
Sunsets at the beach are just perfect aren't they? We went to the beach in San Francisco before we went home.
My name was in San Francisco...till the waves took it away. :(
Just after the sun went down.
I really have to say that San Francisco was one of the funnest places that I have ever been to and maybe ever go to. I wouldn't like to live there but I would definitely visit again.
